What have you learned so far about life?

People are selfish

don't hesitate.. do what you need to do and do it well

what have i learned? easy.
ap classes at my school are a little bit of a joke. i know students who pull off straight As with enough whining and legit crying (tears, etc)
the class ranking system is silly too.
there's too much competition. i feel like a dog, waiting to be picked. frankly, i just don't care anymore. so much competition, no motivation. office space anyone?
lastly, hesitation kills. especially involving someone you like. :O...:(

Everyone in this world has a personal story that will make your heart bleed.

[/quote]

So true! Or most everyone.

Early in our life, we think that the world revolves around us. We should be accepted into HYP b/c of our awards or sob story.

Recognition is sometimes one of the most depressing things a person can endure.

Problems:
they never go away.

I have a learned a lot about life, but this is my most basic philosophy.

Life is full of @#!&*. But why do we live then? For those small golden moments, which come everyday if you know where to look (experience helps here).

This works for me:
1.LiveItUp!
2.You want to do something ... do it! just ONE life to live...so sad... just one
3.One step at a time. Try cramming three things at once... then you pull the fun out of it.
4.You think your better? turn around and get a reality check
5.Procrastinate... then be prepared to face problems in battalions!
6.Keep changing methods, environments .... like an antibiotic...you must try NOT to become immune to your surroundings...you must try to keep evolving.
^ to make it more clear... never let laziness of your frends infect you...
7.Just remember ... YOU DON'T Have to be Perfect.
8.Love is mental disease (try googling or find it in bbc.com)
9.AND never say 'Life sucks' b/c since we are living ... live it up! I don't see how death and heaven will be better!?

the higher your standards, the unhappier you will be.

in other words, suck it up and face reality.

That you only can decide your fate

When you want, you get more confident, and therefore, more likely to succeed

A no is better than a yes passed up because you were scared to ask

When life throws you lemons, make lemonade! Cheesy line I know :)

Most of the time, people don't really what they are talking about; except when they have some education in that area.

Never take anything for granted

Follow your instincts; don't lead a life your friends, your parents or even society wants you to have because you won't be happy

There are some people you despise and you don't know why

You know you have a lot more to learn about life when your life lessons revolve around school and college admissions...

Happiness = content from within = good life.

Reality is what you make of it. You could believe that everyone around you is an alien, that you're in a huge computer simulation or matrix, etc. and that could be your reality.

And get laid... it's fun, lol.

I learned that no radical way of thinking, like islamic fundamentalism, hitler's beliefs, segregation, can be said dogmatically as completely wrong. Events are multifaceted.

Also, darkness always creeps in to your life. What you have to do however, is hold onto the light. I got that from Digimon.

I learned life is not fair.

God doesn't exist.

My, my we have some very angsty and cynical people in here. And we are all so young too - what happened to the supposed hope and optimisim we are suppose to represent?

What I've learned:
1. The most rewarding returns in life comes from investing in relationships.
2. Though I may have intensely Asian parents that seem to try to control my future, it is a fortunate thing that I was born in a society whose values work in favor of my self-determination and will to achieve my own dreams.
3. When the going gets tough, get a sense of humor.

Life is.... fickle :D

umm I've learned that all you need to care about is yourself. and not the ******bags, sorry for my french, at school cause you won't even like remember their names in 2 years. and there are some people that feel good when you fail-but you should be complimented when they do it-means your worth something in their eyes.

yeah, baby!

Also pursue the hottest guys! It's fun! hahahahhahahaha

That nothing matters at all, other than having fun (within reason i mean). Think about it, people want to go to good schools to get good jobs to get alot of money so then they can have fun and enjoy life. If you can be content with working at macdonalds all your life while having time to do the things you love, i don't see a problem with that. going to an ivy league is infinatley over rated. I wish i had my junior year back, studying all those days for the damn sats. it dont mean a damn thing.

It's trivial.

"Life, is like a grapefruit. [...]it's orangey-yellow and dimpled on the outside, wet and squidgy in the middle. It's got pips inside, too. Oh, and some people have half a one for breakfast."
