What High Level Schools Could I Get Into With a 3.8 GPA?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone had any information on schools that I would have a chance of getting into as a junior transfer
BTW i am currently a polisci major at UCONN.

College GPA: 3.83
HS GPA: 3.95
ACT: 31
EC: Volunteer for local town campaign, Internship with the state senator, Mock Trial Society Associate, I play music in my free time (piano, guitar, flute), i help teach music to children within my local public school system

Why would you want to transfer? You seem to be doing relatively well where you are. However, classes are likely to get more difficult for your junior and senior years, and you are likely to need to work hard to maintain your 3.8 where you are.

I would suggest that you work hard at U.Conn, have a bit of fun, and think about doing a master’s elsewhere.

I want to transfer because I don’t really feel like I fit into the academic and social environment. I’m hoping to go somewhere more academically focused and diverse.

I’m currently studying polisci at UCONN however I don’t feel that the academic environment is a good fit for me as the school is much more STEM and biology oriented.

I would really like to apply as a rising junior to these schools:

  • Wesleyan University
  • Northwestern University
  • UChicago
  • Barnard College
  • Conn. College
  • College of William and Mary

Unfortunately I didn’t do great in my math courses first semester which brought down my gpa but I am certain that I can bring them up to at least an 3.8 in the next 2 semesters.

Here are my stats:

  • 3.49 GPA
  • 31 ACT
  • Bilingual (mandarin, english)

EC:
-Volunteer for a political campaign
-Intern for state senator
-Volunteer music teacher at local middle school
-Mock Trial Society
-ConnPirg; student advocacy group

Sorry if this is incoherent but I would really appreciate any input! Thanks!
