Do most schools just give out letter grades and then average them? My school just gives you numerical grades (0-100) and then averages all your grades. This average is then corresponded to a GPA. Is this the correct way most colleges look at your grades? Or do they look at how many A's, B's, C's, etc.

I'm just wondering this because my average is about a 91 (3.9) but I'm pretty much half A's and B's. Would some colleges consider this more of a 3.75 GPA?

Nope. That’s, as the above person mentioned, in the 3.6 range.

Try using this though:

[Staples High School–Info–GPA Calculator–# of Classes](http://www.stapleshigh.net/info/grades/index-academic.html)

My school does the following:
97-100% = 4.0 regular, 5.0 honors, 6.0 AP
95-97% = 3.8 regular, 4.8 honors, 5.8 AP
Etc.

My school actually has 92+ as a 4.0. 88 would be a 3.6.
