What if CC was one huge highschool?

-Majority of the students are trying to get into an ivy school.
-2000 on the SAT is considered to be a score of a delinquent.
-A lot of kids take like 7 AP classes in a year.
-A guidance counselor knows anything about ivies and CC's Top Colleges, but not so familiar with anywhere else like a regular state college.
-"BUMP" is a key word to bring up the topic you have discussed in the past.
-Your AP teacher is really familiar with the prep books.

Discuss.

I would never go there.

Neither would I. The level of hatred would run way too high for me to be comfortable. I like standing out in my nice, "normal" high school. >: D

high school's not high school w/o the stupid people- it makes us smart kids feel better about our low SAT scores of 2300

It would be so cut-throat and competitive I don't think most kids would survive.

Then I would be expelled because of incompetency.

I would go there in a heartbeat. I currently attend a school that is the COMPLETE opposite, and of the two poles, I'd choose the one where I'd be in the top 75% over easily the valedictorian.
To give you an idea of where I go, our valedictorian for the class of '06 is going to Columbia University (no, not MU-Columbia... just Columbia in MO...). I don't have ANY AP classes, probably only 25% of the students will go on to college, and only 15% actually care which one they get into.
Without trying, you can be the top in every class you have, maintane a VERY easy good gpa (at least a 3.7 UW), and outscore nearly everybody in either the ACT or SAT.

Granted, I'd prefer a school that's in the middle, but if you'd have to have either uber-competative or ridiculously easy, which would YOU choose?

I'd probably cry every day.

Just kidding. I'd totally own you kids. All of you.

I wouldn't go there, but I'd stay outside and steal all your lunch money

It would be ridiculously wonderful. My school is a little bit similar, ie my SAT (2320) is low for my group, but it also promotes individual drive, ie i am taking it again, whereas at another school I probably wouldn't. I don't know if that makes sense, but to me competition really helps.

It would be pretttttty boring, I think..

Wonder who'd be the valedictorian? ;)

I think the school would be pretty gay.

it would definetly suck at athletics!!!! and be one giant nerd school*

*everyone sucking up to the teachers

EWwwwwww.... All the nerds (everyone) will brag about their GPA/IQ/grades/SAT score/colleges 24/7. And there would be nobody to beat them up when they do so.

Leah, I would be valedictorian, without question!

no sorry... I would be valdedictorian

I think I would completely stop caring about school and only care about my sports.

randomperson or sagar would definitely own all of you.

I'd definitely be the kid who wouldn't graduate because i don't see understand the difference between a 2200 and a 2400 and i don't care if i get an A- as opposed to an A. and i really don't know how to study and i would much rather socialize all day than read a book.

I would sell drugs. Considering the high stress levels of the students, I'd say i'd reap some good profits.

I'd picture a close friend giving me "study pills" before the night of a test telling me to cram and take it an hour before.
