What if I can get the class I want?

Ok, so I'm not going to attend Calso because the dates don’t fit with my trip to Mexico and they were all full when I tried to sign up. The thing I'm freaking about is that some of the classes I plan to take are quickly filling up. Like for Chem 1A, although there are about 1,000 seats left, about 450 have already signed up and there has only been 3 calso sessions out of the 12. What the f. I tried to work out my schedule without Chem but it all turns to straight up *****. Like I'm already taking English, Ethnic Studies, and a math and if Chem is out I have nothing to replace it with except for another English-based class like International Studies or I could take ES 10, but that class is also filling up. So has this ever happened to anybody, where they think they wont get the classes they want, but magically do?

i think for Chem 1A, labs are full already so it is very unlikely that you would get that class.

They do take 1500 students for Chem1A. I think you can get into the class if you don't do Calso. For lab, I'd choose the one with the fewest people signed up for it (this may be Monday morning at 8am) but that's your best shot of getting in.

You can always try waitlisting for your top classes and hope you get in. At least your Phase II will be fairly early.

I guess it would be ok if I did'nt get into Chem 1A, but then that would mean my schedule would be like:
-Math
-Eng.
-Ethnic Studies(really want this class w/ munoz)
-ES 10 or International Studies(is ES gets full, which it probably will)
Dam this schedule is full of reading and writing. I have no science classes and I'm a microbiology major :)
