What if I don't like my school after the first year?

I want to go somewhere in CA for under $25k. I also want an urban environment. So far I ahve applied to USC and Cal Poly SLO in CA. USC is probably going to be way to expensive since financial aid will be limited for me. Cal Poly is fairly affordable but not really too urban. I think ill end up going to Cal Poly but don't know what happens if I don't like it. I don't know if it's going to be hard to transfer credits to a better school or what. I would apply to more schools but they are all too expensive and SLO seems like one of the nicer CA state schools. Can someone help me out with my options and consequences?

do you live in CA? you could also apply to cal poly pomona

I am a MN resident. From what I understand Pomona is not as good a school.

Since I have already filled out an app on CSU Mentor, what are some other nice schools that are part of the state univs?

Post your grades. What’s your major? What kind of environment are you looking for (more academic, more social, etc)? Cal Poly SLO is the best Cal State academically, but the area isn't for everyone.
