Will I be accepted to the college still?

I believe the answer if yes assuming your stats are not quite up to Macaulay standards. Last yr my D was declined for Macaulay/Hunter but was offerred acceptance to regular Hunter Honors. Not sure if that’s the same for this yr.

Oh, there is a difference? How do you apply for Hunter Honors, do they just reccomend you? What were your daughter’s statistics? What other schools was she applying to? What major? Why Hunter? I think it’s a perfect fit for me because it has a romance Language major and it’s urban and cheaper

Yes there is a difference. Macaulay is a CUNY wide program but you can only apply to one campus for it. (if you pick Macaulay/Hunter and get declined you’re also out for all other CUNY/Macaulay’s). Each college I believe has their own individual non Macaulay honors programs which require lower stats than Macaulay…I don’t think there is a separate application…like I said…my D was declined for Macaulay Hunter but accepted to Hunter Honors by submitting only one application…Again, this is based on last yr…not sure if anything has changed. Her stats were 1340/2040 SAT; 31 ACT; 99.something GPA and 7APs. Accepted to Bentley, Bryant, St Johns and Stony Brook with merit scholarships. Also accepted to Univ of Richmond, Lehigh Univ and Binghamton (SOM). Happily attending Lehigh for business…Suggest you run a search for ‘Macaulay’…I believe Macaulay/Hunter is tougher to get into than the other CUNY/Macaulay’s. It’s a great program and highly selective. Good Luck.
