What if I don't want too...?

I have a really quick question about sending SAT scores.

As you all know, SAT scores can be sent to four colleges/institutions for free. After that, it costs money. But I don't want to spend the money to send my sat scores to five colleges outside of my "free four."

I was on the Yale website today and they were saying that "from here on" I must send my SAT scores to them using their SAT code.

However, on applications, you can list your scores there, too.

So do I have to send my SAT scores to my colleges using the codes and spending the money, or does it work to just list the scores on the application the colleges?

Thanks for your help!

Many schools require them "officially " from collegeboard, in addition to the self-report. I don’t know any that don’t.

Sorry, but you need to send the official scores. SAT scores cannot be self-reported only. (AP scores, however, can be self-reported; official scores are generally required only after admissions.)
