What if I fail to meet Conditions of Admission for UCB?

Hello,

I am admitted to University of California, Berkeley as an international student. I've read similar posts but my case is different.

Conditions of Admission states that I have to get a B or better grade for English course. My overall GPA is 3.87 and I received overall GPA 3.5 for the last semester at my community college; however, I failed to get B. I got C+ instead. My cc only allows to display straight letter grade so a C+ is eventually C. I tried to negotiate with my professor since it was 0.8% away from a B. There was no positive response.

I have already emailed my admission officer, explaining my situation and trying to be persuasive. Although I finished strong, the 0.8% might jeopardize my admission offer.

Does anyone in the same situation or have had the same experience? How does my case work, and what is the best action that I can take at this point?

You won’t be rescinded for a “C” on your transcript. Relax.

Call your admissions officer as soon as you can. Don’t wait for email for such an important question.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Reading this again I noticed this: “Although I finished strong, the 0.8% might jeopardize my admission offer.”

My thoughts: are you serious?
