What if I get letters from colleges as a junior?

Yea i got the letters and e-mails too and I realize they mean nothing but I couldn’t help but be excited when i got one from Columbia :)

Private colleges send the most mail because:

 1. They have the budget for it. Public colleges generally don’t spend much on admissions (because they cost less, they already attract a good number of applicants).
 2. Private colleges are trying to build name recognition, especially private liberal arts colleges.

I think I could have wallpapered my room and my living room walls with the amount of mail I got from colleges =D I wish I kept them though.

I’m a freshmen and I get that stuff all the time. I get a lot sent from University of Miami, TCU, Rice, Ithica and more. Plus summer things like summer@Brown and NSLC

I mean, seriously. Like my ego needs any more inflation…

You don’t need to receive those generic letters to be in the range of getting into those colleges, nor does getting those mean you’ll get into those colleges.

The letters don’t mean anything.
I’m a junior w/ a 3.5, and got a 177 on my PSAT which is equivalent to a 1770 SAT score, and I’m getting letters from Brown and NYU.
They sell letters to everyone.
