Maybe not MISS it, best case scenario would be very late. So I am going away from June 28 to July 31 and most orientations are in July. My honors college orientation was supposed to be June 30.

I know at orientation we register for classes (or so I think) and since I'm in the HC would have priority registration. By missing orientation i would probably lose this priority wouldnt I? Or would I be able to register before orientation?

Why not postpone your travel plans? IMO–Going to orientation and getting things set and in place for your freshman year should take priority.

call stony brook up

SSO fills up fast. I would be surprised if there are slots available this late in the year. But you can certainly call and ask.

SSO is definitely full at this point. If you’re looking to switch, you don’t have a whole lot of options right now (unless someone’s switching out of SSO or ACH, both of which fill up most quickly, or ITS for guys).

Don’t worry about your academic plan; it has no bearing whatsoever on your UGC. Every major is represented in every quad, more or less. Yes, the Orientation ties in with the UGCs – and that’s important because you want to meet your advisor and your fellow students – but Orientation will help you put the pieces together if you can’t make your July date for whatever reason.

Call Orientation first (631-632-6710) and work it out with them; don’t worry about changing colleges.
