What if I score lower on my retake? Can I choose not to send my scores?

I already put down the colleges I want my scores to be sent to. Can I tell them not to send them if my scores are lower on my retake?

haha thats why i never sent the schools (not even my high school) my scores before i saw them.

Well you have just a few days after you take the test to have it unsent. You're going to have to base it on intiution because you can't see your score and then cancel.

I don't get this at all. So your scores are automatically sent like other tests (like AP, SATs, etc.)? I thought that you choose which score you want to send (So, if you take it 2 times, YOU have both scores, but none of the scores have been received by the colleges. So, you decide which one to send and when)? What does everybody mean then that you get to choose to have which ACT scores you want to send (I also thought that you get to choose which ACT sub section scores to send, such as whether to only send the Mathematics and Science score, etc.)?

Ok here it goes: On the SAT each time you take the test it goes on your record and if you want to send scores you have to send your entire record so all your scores go. For the ACT only the specific test date goes, each test gets its own "record." Now, if you chose certain schools to send your scores to on lets say the october 28 test then they will get ONLY your october 28 test score. You can't send individual sub scores. Now lets say you chose to send your scores to wash u and stanford then your scores automatically go there but if you want to cancel then you can as long as you do it by thursday after the test. Also let's say you wanted to send scores to UNC well after you see your score, then you have to go online to ACT's website and then pay $8 to send to them, selecting october 28th as the test date you want to send.
