Hi Eveyone.

Please execuse my naive questions since I am new here. I plan to take SAT subject test, but have no confidence I could do well the first time. So, my questions are:
1. If I take the same test more than once, will they send all scores to the colleges I apply for?
2. I heard there is some "score option" on the test. Does that mean I could choose whether a specific subject test be sent to the school or not?
3. what if I cancel the test before the score comes out? will that also show on my SAT report later when I apply for school? Will they average out everything including the cancelled one?

thanks very much for your answers.

If you're a junior or younger this year, then thanks to a new score reporting policy, you have the option of sending the reasoning test or subject tests by "sitting." In other words if you took three subject tests on the same day, you would have to send all of them even if you only wanted colleges to see one, but if you took say three subject tests on different dates, you could choose which to send to colleges. The issue gets somewhat complicated though since some colleges (i believe only 2 as of now) are demanding that students still just send every sat they ever took. If you're currently a senior though, none of this applies to you and you will need to send every sat score.
In terms of cancelling scores, i think that can only be done (at the latest) a couple of days after you've taken the test. I'm 99% sure that colleges will have no idea that you cancelled a score, any record of you taking the test will be more or less erased.
