what if i'm not into econ/gov?

I'm not really into econ or gov't and am more interested in advertising, marketing, communications, etc.

do you think CMC would still be a good choice for me?

CMC is also very strong isn business-related fields, which i imagine would include advertising & marketing. It'd probly be a great match!

correct me if i'm wrong, but there are no listed majors or even courses in advertising / marketing

there is a media studies major offered at pomona and pitzer that you can do, ive been told you can twist it to focus on whatever you really want, there is also various accounting and econ things which with media studies could function as some sort of advertising/marking thing. im going to cmc next year and i am interested in advertising/marketing too, but i change my mind like every week so who knows!

i asked a professor the exact same question today (regarding marketing), and he said that u can take those classes at the graduate schools around the area.

wouldn't that be kinda weird, taking courses at the claremont graduate school?

The media studies major at pomona and pitzer sounds really interesting.. but can I pursue my major at pomona and get a CMC degree? Something doesn't sound right.. hehe

ya, you are allowed to do off campus majors... that's what I've been told at least...

Yeah, you can definitely do off-campus majors IF CMC doesn't offer the major you want but another of the 5Cs does. I'm a Scripps student doing a Human Biology major (which is offered through Pitzer and Joint Science) and will be taking classes at CMC, Pomona, and Pitzer (and Joint Science, of course) to fulfill major requirements. As long as you get your CMC gen. eds. done, you'll be fine.
