ok, ok, ok. before u go bashing me, i am asking this question out of complete sincereity. and NO, im not trying to be pompous.

ive always been told that i was an attractive boy. you know, golden hair, nice complexion, clean shaved --- blue eyes. i've been told by all my friends that I am like the "golden boy" that u always see in movies.

so... does this tip ANYTHING in my favor at all? i know this sounds completely ABSURD... but the world is completely biased. we all instinctively incline towards those that are more attraactive. like, at juiliard, i heard they had to put a sheet between the auditioners and the judges so that the judges don't learn towards the prettier people.

so...when im in my interview, will my boyish good looks help at ALL? i mean, even a little bit? (cuz of human nature)

i am also thinking about sending a supplement : my senior picture. its a good picture of me. and i know this sounds crazy, but if someone and i sent in an application, and both are equally qualified, with the same scores.... and if we both sent in pictures, and the other person is fat, hairy, ugly, and missing teeth, then wouldn't it be human nature to pick me, the golden boy?

ahahaha... make sure you have a female interviewer?

Some have visceral negative reactions to attractive people (even those to whom they're attracted) out of jealousy/spite/etc... so make sure you're the "nice golden boy" :)

I really don't think it could hurt. I'm sure quite a lot of people send in their photos, so they won't think that you are trying to tip things in your own favor through a picture. And who knows, maybe if your pic comes right after one of a person who is "fat, hairy, ugly, and missing teeth," the addmof will be so relieved that she/he will admit you for just that... lol....
bottom line: can't hurt... good luck

Oh Yeah, honestly, I third the demand for senior pics... haha... you can't make a statement that you're hot in a forum with girls without giving proof... lol

um... don't know how much it will help you (in subtle ways might hurt u cause of affirmative action...) but I guess to schools that ask to see a picture it might be a plus...

I think it might hurt you. I think that's pretty damn vain.

And for your interview: NO. Many people have very low opinions of atractive peoples' personalities/intellectuality. Many think they're self-centered/social-climbing/amoral/*******... seriously. If you were a girl, and your interviewer were a hetero male, that would change things.. men are different.

haha parkrunner i have actually wondered the same thing...except im a girl. blonde hair, blue eyes, nice figure, good skin...overall attractive. i hope that it helps us out haha

isnt the whole point of being a guy in our society that you DON'T get judged on appearances? i thought society had evolved not devolved...more power to us girls I guess...

blue eyes and blond hair ... you don't sound like a urm, how does it help you? Maybe among white people. Because white people have all been coddled their whole lives and urms have all been oppressed all their lives they will stick it to you, the white man. It is a disadvantage overall to have your looks.
