Okay, so I got 740 on the Math II section. On my SAT I, however, I got a 780 in math, and on my ACT, I got a perfect 36 in math. How will colleges react to this discrepancy in scores for the math section?

You're over analyzing. It's not as if you got 800 on one and 500 on the other; there isn't that big of a discrepancy between 740 and 780.

the difference is one question.
it makes meager difference.

Agree.

10 char

what about a reverse case? what if i got a 720 on the SAT I Math section and an 800 on the Math IIC SAT II?

SAT I math and SAT II math are really quite different, to me at least.

SAT I seems to be more questions that try to trick you, make you think, use weird logic, any of that sort.

SAT II is more pure math. Here's a problem, solve it.

I think colleges will understand a slight discrepancy between scores and basically see that you're generally good at math, but maybe better at one sort or the other.

lol, I got a 660 on SAT I math and a 780 on SAT II. 36 on ACT also. I guess I like harder but more straight forward math instead of SAT I where they ask really abstract questions.
