I've submitted all my applications and my schools are asking for my Mid Year report on their checklists. However, my mid year grades won't be available until January 5-6, which is past the deadline. Will it be okay if my counselor submits the report after the January 1 deadline?

yes it’s fine. School systems’ semesters end at diff times.

That’s totally fine. Mine isn’t available until the beginning of February. Colleges understand that this is something you don’t have control over.

Colleges that require mid-year reports do not require those by the January 1 application deadline. Those are always something that are expected to be and are sent later. (Think about it: the purpose of a mid-year report is two-fold: to provide mid-year grades and to confirm which courses you are actually taking second semester; if you could provide that by Jan 1 then there would be no need for a mid-year report because it would just be included in your regualr application and school transcript sent by the Jan 1 deadline.)

If you get into a month after the semester and they haven’t gone out yet, then perhaps worry. D’s semester won’t even end for another 3 weeks and her app deadlines are all tomorrow.
