What if someone is like this...

If someone has:
SAT I:2300
SAT II:800 X 3
rank 3~5%
4~5activities, not significant, for 1~4years
essay is the best he can do, good recommendations

well, if I try my best I can be as good as that guy when I am applying, so do I have a chance to economy in Michi?( going to transfer to Ross)

absolutely. i had exactly the same stuff as that person, except i didn't take any SATIIs and my class rank was a little lower, and i got into LSA honors and Ross pre-admit, so you might expect something like that

pre-admit?? what exactly is that?

Help, who can tell me that is that pre-admit, I heard Ross is only for internal transfer student isnt it?

This year they started preadmitting people, in hopes of getting people who might've gone elsewhere because they didn't want to have to wait a year to find out whether or not they got in.

so will that pre-admit be harder than the normal one?whats the standard we need ?

Yes, it will be tougher, but if you don't get in you ca just apply the next year with no problems. In that case, you'd want to keep at least a 3.5 or 3.6 gpa during your freshman year, and demonstrate some leadership through some sorts of clubs or activities

whats the acceptance rate of applying second year? 40%?

Out of about 700 applicants, half get in for the 3-year program.

So if you designate ross on your frosh app and you dont get in, you can still get accepted to LSA and then apply to ross again at the end of your frosh yr?

Yessssir. (ma'am?)

another nooby question, do they have ED in Michigan, especially Ross pre-admit

Everything for Michigan is rolling. The earlier your application is, the better chance you have for getting in. As your application gets later and later, you will need better qualifications than before. That's it.

how many times can I apply, when is the earliest one? and do you have the specific dates of them?

The application will be released some time in August, and you can apply basically anytime after that until the deadline, which was February 2 (I think) for this year's applicants.

Also, if you want scholarships, you should think about applying very early since scholarships are very limited. If you're a good enough student, I don't think the timing really matters that much for admission, so don't worry too much.

It doesn't matter how good of a student you are, if you apply too late you may be SOL. Apply asap so you don't have to worry. Everyone takes a risk if they apply after Thanksgiving. The later you wait the worse it gets.

then if I apply early(before thanksgiving) and I got accepted , when do I need to reply to Michi that I want to go to there?(if its after Feb then I can try my ED to other schools and see result first)

bump need help about that one

The deadline to reply is May 1st.
