Hi, I was recently accepted to Columbia, but I'm worried they're going to rescind my acceptance after they see my second quarter D in AP Calculus and I'm not sure if I'll be able to make my semester grade much better. Also, I was initially planning on taking it second semester, but I'm seriously considering dropping it. How bad will that look?

Yeah. A D is a major issue.

You might get a warning for a D, but I don’t think you’ll end up getting it rescinded. I’ve also heard that you won’t get rescinded for grades without first getting a warning. You really have to put in the work though, you can’t slack to the point of Ds.
