No, no. You always could transfer (if you're going to be a freshmen) or apply for grad school. Don't give up hope yet.

Lol...transferring is out of the question but UCLA med school will always be an option lol.

You can do pre-med anywhere really. But all of the UCs I applied to have attached medical schools. This way where I am I can try to get some action at any of the UC medical facilities ... volunteering, lab research etc.

JC, if you don't get in, and your parents are that into UCLA, they will probably disown you and adopt a new son under the UCLA Adopt a Freshman Foundation. :P

That's cruel exilo. :p

That's Berkeley have a medical center?

Yeah, my parents love UCLA and want me to go there really badly, but they also like other colleges too...such as Stanford, Dartmouth, CAL, and UCSD. Lol, plus I have 3 younger siblings that they can love more if I don't get in. ha ha. I'll be the reject of the family.

Berkeley has no medical center.

JC, I am sure you will make mama and papa proud no matter what.

JCOliver: Is UCLA where you want to be though? Or just where your parents want you to be.

I want to go to UCLA!!!!! I love the campus, sports teams, and atmosphere. It's where I want to be. By the way, I wouldn't mind staying up north because I'm getting an internship with the anesthesiology department at UCSF this summer, and it would be cool to continue that in college.

Oh, good. I know some people who went to the university their parents wanted them to go and they were miserable.

Yup, UCLA is awesome. I'm hoping I get in; if I don't, I'll be sad. :(

If I don't get into UCLA, I will FREAK.

Since I already know I'm going to be rejected by Berkeley, my last hope at a upper-tier school is UCLA. If I don't get in, my life will as of then be over.

May the lord have mercy upon my soul.

flopsy~ uc merced

ah thats awesome JCO - how did you go about finding/getting that internship?

UCLA won't be the same without me. :P

just a side note: I had a friend who didn't get into UCB, UCLA, nor UCSD, but she did get into Cornell and is happily attending.

And if she is a Cali resident, she is happily paying 5-6 times what it cost for UCB, UCLA or UCSD. ;)

She happens to be one. So that sucks for her.

sunkist184, did your friend apply cornell early?

i do note that some people i know, could get into ivies ED/EA, but might not necessarily make it into berkeley or ucla. but that's quite an anomaly if your friend got into cornell but not ucsd.

no she didn't

I think a monkey decides admissions for UCs; seriously, you cannot predict at all.

Uh oh, EG you are getting pessimistic bud, hang in there. ;)
