What if you don't go Greek?

It’s seriously not that bad. Add up how much you would spend on dinner and alcohol at home for the length of a semester and I’m sure it comes out to way more than that, not even including cover charges, movies, shows, shopping, miscellaneous recreation.

When I lived in my sorority, I paid far less total for room/board/dues than when I lived in the dorms.

so 4,000 a year for the dues
and then does anyone know how much additional it is for living in the sorority houses?
thanks guys!

I can’t remember what it cost me specifically to live in my sorority house, but I do remember that it was much cheaper than either living on campus or renting an apartment in Collegetown. My parents were happy! Also, sororities generally have cooks so you’re on a house meal plan that’s better than the campus one, but you don’t have to cook yourself.

sorority dues (including housing) run between the mid $3000 and the mid $4000 a semester. but it depends on the sorority and the number of girls in your pledge class as far as how much the dues are exactly

yea, dues AND housing AND food run about 3000-4000 a semester. Dues for the first semester (during pledging) are almost double (around 800 or so) because of the pledging and initiation fees. All in all, when living in the sorority house, it is cheaper than living in the dorms and having a meal plan, plus there is plenty of free umm juice.
