Let's say I sent a college application during October with my current address on it, then moved to a different area (same state and county) within the time frame for adcoms to look over the apps? Would I have to contact the school or something? Or would they automatically know?

You need to contact the school, and let them know your new address. Don’t worry about this. It happens all the time. They will be able to straighten out your records.

Don’t forget to file the change of address paperwork at the Post Office too!

Shoot them an email if you know who’s your counselor/rep. Otherwise, just a form letter would do. I understand they don’t employ spies so they have no way of knowing you’ve move BTW, most of the things will be done via email/online. You can change address online at some schools as well.

Oh okay, that makes sense. Thanks :)
