<p>What if we all get e-mails saying that we were accepted, but then we would get a second e-mail the following day saying that it was a mistake - you actually got rejected due to a glitch in the system?</p>
<p>I heard about this happening to Cornell ED applicants 3 yrs. ago.</p>

<p>they never notified the ppl who were falsely accepted that they werent meant to be
they just let them attend... and it screwed up the housing arrangements because of it.</p>
<p>omg that would be sooo great. i wouldn't even care if i only got in on accident. lol.</p>
<p>That happened to two kids last year in my school. One got the other ones rejection letter, the other, got the others acceptance letter. The guy who got accepted at first, but then he found out was rejected, was not given a spot.</p>
<p>frick.. if that happened to me... i'd actually go and protest at columbia...</p>
<p>can't you threaten to sue or something? im sure you could get in after they send you an acceptance letter-- there has to be some sort of binding law</p>
