hey guys! oh and girls too...anyway i was wondering, what if i don't get into any UC, then what?
hmmm then wait another year to refile ur application?

lol i had this same question, n that's what i'm freaking out about. but i got accepted into UCR with a 3.0. i supose it just depends what schools u apply to. UCR takes almost anyone. this time around i've applied for uci, ucsd, ucd, cal, ucla, and ucsb. i'm worried i'll get into none but i'm already a registered student at csuf so i suppose that's my back up.. but i will dread to go there!

I hear if you just sneak into the school and go to classes they'll let you in eventually.

if you have at least a 3.0 you can probably get a TAG with davis, sb, irvine, and sd.

If you can't get into UCR, you're better off at a CSU or just staying at a CC. No way would you be able to compete at a UC if you can't get into UCR.

^lol

i am so scared this my first semester at a CC and like i really dont knw u knw.Like what if i dnt get a 3.5 GPA and stuff. That means that i won't get into a UC right.
So ...if i dnt get into a UC, i will try to get into a CSU,for which i would require different prerequisites i suppose....means more time at a CC :(
gosh it is all so confusing lol :)

PS: i am gonna go into electrical engg.So no TAG,TAP or igetc for me :D

if you have a 3.5 and maintain it, you should be fine for most UC's

cooooool :)

you can do TAG with UC davis.

thnx a ton man! i thought TAG wasn't for engineering guys i searched google and found this site Transfer Admission Guarantee Program
dude thanx :)

you don't need a 3.5 to get into a UC.
you do need a 3.5 (at least) to be considered a competitive applicant, for competitive programs (business, comm, engineering) or competitive schools (LA, Berkeley, sometimes SD / Irvine).
IGETC is the transfer agreement for both UCs and CSUs. if you plan to apply to CSUs, you have to satisfy a US History, as well as a Speech requirement = not too much more time at a CC.

oh well ... i am in for engineering so IGETC for me, is a no no :)

PS thanks pinkerfloyd for taking time to reply to the thread ,i appreciate and am grateful :)

Naildirt, have you tried applying to Cal Poly Pomona or Loyola Marymount University? Cal Poly Pomona has one of the top engineering programs in the country (14th overall). LMU is good too except their tuition is more than 30k/year.

From US News "Cal Poly Pomona is 12th overall in the nation for top undergraduate programs in engineering, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2009 College Rankings: Universities-Master’s category. Of the top 15 schools, only five are public schools, making Cal Poly Pomona the 5th best public school for engineering in the U.S."

hi abbybabbybobabby well i just started out my first year in a CC...so i have yet to apply any :)
but wait lemme check the LMU site...oh yea i will apply to every UC and CSU's and Poly too...:)

btw is Loyola Marymount University's engineering program any good?
