<p>Hi. For the first "Why Yale?" question, I'm 16 words over the limit. Now, Common App didn't cut me off. All it says is: Remove 16 or more words to meet the 100 word maximum. Can anyone help me out? Is it necessary to remove those 16 words? Or is it just there as a guideline? Thanks!</p>
<p>I would definitely stick to the official word limit on this. I’m pretty sure that the extra words will get cut off- if it’s not by the Common App, I’m sure Yale’s will do so. Or they’ll just stop reading when they reach 25 words.</p>
