<p>If we're talking about the same one... the only 4-1-4 calendar I've heard of is the academic one, where students take 4 courses in the fall, 1 in the winter, and 4 in the spring, which is used at some universities that have the three semesters.</p>
<p>It takes longer to post a message here than it does to google the phrase "4-1-4 calendar" and get an answer.</p>
<p>yea, basically it means the school has a ~1 month term in january where you focus on one "class" or project.</p>
