H was reading rate my professor to see what students have said about several profs our D might have next semester. For one of the profs many students commented that this prof used a clicker or clicker system (something like that). Does anyone know what that is? I never heard of anything like that or what that means. Thank you.

its how they take attendance.

It’s not just for attendance. In big lecture classes they use it. The professor may ask if the class is unclear of something, or they might ask like a multiple choice type question just to see if the class is following him/her, and the clicker is used to electronically enter the student responses. It’s kind of like “ask the audience” on “who wants to be a millionaire” . I have no idea how much it is actually used. They did do a demo in one of the parents sections I had gone to during Delaworld.
