What does it do?

Well, since nobody seems to be answering this, i'll do it. A curve will help the students who take the SAT. For example, if you miss, lets say 2 on the CR section on the test, you can still get an 800. It helps you get a higher score despite making errors, but for the math section, even if you miss one your score will go down to around a 780 due to its non-existant curve. I hope that answers your question.

So the Math never has a curve? I've seen tons of threads about people talking about the math curve.

I've yet to see -1 on math an 800, its usually 780, sometimes 770 or 790.
