What is a good ACT score for admissions...I want to go into business.

36 is a good ACT score

I know that, but what is the average act score of people who got in.

haha 12041987, that's the first thing I was going to say when I read the title of this thread.

I thought ACT wasn't hugely popular w/ UC schools?

Yes, 36.
I got rejected at UCLA with 32..

so try to get 36.

According to Princeton Review or College Board or something like that the averages for ACT at Berkeley is 24-30, at UCLA it's 23-28; a 36 is probably best to aim for! My son did not submit SAT's to the UC's, they were too low. He only submitted ACT's.

Given that GPA is comparable, I would say a 30 would make you competitive, a 32 would make you strong, and a 34+ would make you a likely admit.

what about OOS? i'm a floridian, but got 34 on ACT...

I got a 32 on my ACT and was admitted OOS. (However, I'd say my ECs were the strongest factors of the app.)

I'd say if you have the GPA, with a 34 on the ACT,and some decent ECs, you're in.

I'd say if you score 31+ it'd be competitive.

socalpatty

how do you only submit ACT?

UCs require two SAT IIs and if you submit them, you automatically submit SATI scores.

SAT II's for the UC's were sent direct when registered, not after the fact. His SAT I does not show up on his UC app. Only the 2 ACT's he took

I got a 34 and I was admitted into engineering.

^ oh cool! I applied for engineernig to Cal, also, and I had a 34, too. (1 question away from 35...grr)

my son had comp 34, and accepted into UCLA Engineering. Also, UC Davis, USC, and Cal Poly SLO.

whoops, thought I was in the UCLA forum, I had them both open. I got into UCLA Engineering with a 34.

Sorry for the confusion :
