What is a good interview?

I had my interview with an alumni. I am an international and am applying to AAP for architecture. I know the interview is important but exactly how does the process work?

The interview seemed more like a conversation. I took my portfolio, he really liked some pieces and gave me some suggestions ( it's still under progress ). He also said that I stand a good chance. I had an interesting talk about many things and all in all it was fun. Now I don't know what a "good" interview is. Please share for experiences, views, etc. Thank youuuu in advance.

Oh and he was super cute, that surely was a plus ;)

TanArch- Have u applied for aid?
Whats ur SATI and SATII score?

If he says: "He also said that I stand a good chance. " – at least in his mind it was a good interview. However you should also know that he has no basis to chance you as his write up is the least evaluated portion of your application. I never tell my interviewees their “chances” Why? Because I don’t know them no matter how well I feel the interview was conducted and don’t want to infuse false confidence.

I’m sure you’ll get a good write up but he should not have said what he said.

Good luck to you.

@US Applicant - 1490/1600 & 760 in Math (only one is required for AAP)

@T26E4 - in his defense, I am pretty sure this was his first interview. Anyway, I am told that the interview is very very important for Architecture. Is that false?
