what is a good SAT II Bio score for top 40 schools?

planning on applying to illinois urbana champaign, michigan, wisconsin madison.

and im majoring in biology so i have to "show" that I'm interested in the subject.

I took the SAT II Bio freshman year (Im going to be a senior next fall) and got a 690. Is that a good score?

and is a 4 on a AP Bio exam good?

I also got Bs in both bio honors and AP Bio.

a 690 is a very solid score, and a 4 on the AP exam is definitely good!
i don't think it should be about how well you do, but more about how passionate you are. just show that in your essay. i know for the michigan one, they ask you about why you want to major in it (LSA essay)
i'm applying to michigan too as a bio major! maybe our paths will cross someday. :)

i dunno, you might want to retake to get over 700???

Have you taken a Bio class since freshman year? If not, you probably shouldn't retake it since you've probably forgotten a lot of material.

Those are solid scores.

thanks for the replies. maybe we will see each other in michigan haha. I have taken AP Bio this year, tennagecliche and I took over the SAT IIs and did very bad (610).

aim for a 750+ on Biology, its extremely easy.
everything is memorization

what about 740?

i made two stupid changes at the end and cost

me from getting a 760. T.T

What kind of knowledge overlap is there with AP Bio? My daughter, who was a sophomore, just took the AP Bio exam this spring and scored a 5, so we were thinking she might want to take the SAT II Bio exam as soon as possible before all that info drains out of her head.

Y E S. TAKE SUBJECT TESTS ASAP AFTER AP EXAMS!!!!

I made the mistake of waiting till end of junior year to take any. stupid, stupid stupid.
