What is a good study resource for the ACT?

My current score is horrible and I don’t want to take the new one, so I am most likely taking the ACT over the summer and want to know which books to use for studying.

What I did instead of purchasing books was just practice and practice and practice. You can get almost all the ACT tests online for free and then correct them yourself. Just work hard and get your timing down. If you do want a book, I used “The Real ACT Prep Guide”. It is somewhat expensive, but has 6 practice tests inside with explanations to each answer and helpful tips. Also the internet is honestly one of the best sources for anything you need help with. I learned 5 tips for the english section that helped me get a 35 on the english section 3 times. 1. When in doubt if a comma should or shouldn’t be there, leave it out. 2. Shorter is better. The shorter answer is usually the correct answer so long as it uses proper grammar. 3. Semi-colons ( ; ) and periods are the same thing. If your presented two options: one has a semi-colon in one spot and the second a period in that same spot, but besides that they are identical, cross them both off because they are wrong. 4. It’s vs. Its—It’s = it is; Its= possesive 5. Whom vs. Who— to see which one works: replace whom with him or her and who with he or she

Agree, the practice tests in the Real ACT Prep Guide are excellent. It might be sensible to focus on memorising/practising specific rules, rather than looking at areas that are developed organically over your whole education (i.e math problem-solving or general reading)
