What is a good TEXTBOOK for AP Economics micro/macro?

I plan on self-studying for micro and macro because it is not available in my school. I have the AP Prep book, but I would like to purchase a textbook.

Thanks.

bit late eh?

Perhaps he is referring to next year.

I am considering doing the same thing, what do you think a textbook can add that a review book can’t?

McConnell is good. We use it in my Micro and Macro classes

oh lol, of course he must mean next year.

anyway, I have Kaplan, princetons (borrowed from friend) and 5 steps. I think princeton’s the simplest and has best explanations, but kaplan goes more in depth, I only got 5 steps for the tests and haven’t really checked it out much, although it is good from what i can tell. you don’t really need a text book, it overcomplicates things in my opinion.

From what I’ve read googling, you don’t need a textbook. I plan to self-study both economics next year, because I’ve heard they’re easy, and I’d like to know at least something about economics. I may also get around to self-studying psych, human geography, and/or who knows what. Any other pieces of advice from self-studiers?
