can anyone explain to me what people do in key clubs?
and what is a kiwanis club?
thanks so much.

it's a club where you do volunteer work.

I've always been curious why it is named as such. Why not Volunteering Club or something more appropriate?

lol I remember my freshman year when I thought whoa cool I gotta befriend some of those people and I'll have access to every locked classroom.

Yeah, that was before I realized that janitors got most of the keys covered anyway. No, I did not befriend a janitor.

Kiwanis clubs belong to an international organization that is heavily involved in community service projects around the world. Key clubs are sort of "junior" Kiwanis clubs specifically targeted to high school students.

Kiwanis International

It's an international club which makes keys.

^ I was about to say that...

I love KEY CLUB!

We basically do community service. Key Club's hugest project in the past was supporting children's Specialized Hospital. We also have fundraisers for UNICEF.

Each state has its own District Convention every April. It's absolutely the most exciting leadership conference that I've attended. There's always great food and the hotel is exceptionally beautiful. Woo!:))

If you need community service hours and your school's key club is really active its the perfect fix. :)

^^^Agreed.

I was going to do it, but I couldn't get into it.

Basically, a community service club. We use to have one at my school, but the students then were so self-centered, nothing got done. What a shame...

I was gonna join the Key Club until I realized that the Key Club is lame. Seriously, who wants to make keys in their free time?
