on anything, where you find it hard to understand how someone could have the opposite position? (e.g. pro-life vs pro-choice)

Abortions: pro-choice
Gay marriage: ban it

too lazy to do others

My view on gay marriage is my damn opinion so don’t start a stupid war on here over it.

I don’t comprehend why scientists and researchers are attributing efforts to cloning organisms. It just seems unethical.

I don’t understand opposition to gun control

^^^I don’t want to start a war either, but I don’t understand how people won’t legalize gay marriage…So also, though it will be out soon, I don’t understand the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy either (against it, obvs)

Does this include stem cell research for you? Or just 100% cloning?

color of yellow for 23 seconds

I respect your opinion ChocolateBanana.

I don’t understand either Mapleleafs26.

I’m referring to animals. For example, humans.

I don’t understand opposition to gay marriage, and I don’t understand support for the criminalization of drugs.

^^^^idk either. Not to be all argumentative and stuff, but if you don’t support gay marriage, don’t marry a man. I don’t buy the “they’ll teach our children to be gay in public schools if it’s legal” bit

I can usually understand the (not necessarily logical) viewpoint of why others would choose an opposing argument. Not doing so would provide for poor debate.

Pro-life (but also pro-birth control except morning after)

For gay marriage

Against the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as is

Against scientific cloning as is

Against affirmative action as is

For legalization of marijuana and other medical drugs

For lowering of drinking age

Against the death penalty

For universal health care

Against gun control

For freeware and opensource

There’s a whole bunch more that I’ll remember as this thread goes along.

I’m with this, in theory, but I think that once the drinking age was raised, the amount of deaths by car accidents went down (a lot).

^Wait, these are all things you can’t understand opposition for?

No, those are just positions I hold. For most topics, I understand the position from which the opposition is coming from.

^Oh, I was about to say “really? you can’t understand opposition” to some of those.

My friend doesn’t believe in anything that prolongs life, such as transplants and things like that. I’m for gay marriage, mainly because it’s their lives; why can’t they do what they want to do with them, like many people are already doing? Pro choice, so long as people aren’t getting abortions at like 8 months pregnant. Cloning is important for transplants and prolonging life. Stem cells are important too because they can cure so many things and not all stem cells have to come from an embryo.

Gay marriage: Pro
Abortion: Pro-choice
I guess I can see how people oppose it morally or whatever, but it’s just the way I look at things, I guess. I’m not gay and I would probably never get an abortion if put into that kind of situation, but the way I see it, it’s none of my damn business what ANOTHER girl does to her body or if two guys want to marry each other. It almost seems like you’d be pushing your beliefs on other people if they were illegal. shrug

Pro-Choice
For Gay Marriage
For much more stringent restrictions on firearms
For Death penalty
For lowering age of voting age to 16 (taxation w/o representation, hellooooo!!!)
For Universal Health Care
Huge support for Scientific cloning and Stem cell research, honestly don’t understand how anyone could be opposed to it

Pro-Choice
For gay marriage
Against scientific cloning
Against the death penalty
For universal health care BUT I do not support the current bills, of course.

The important ones…

For gay marriage

FOR FOR FOR legalization of marijuana and other medical drugs

For freeware and opensource

^I google it, but can you explain freeware and opensource more for me?

Totally agree about gay marriage. :)

Not sure yet on legalization…IDK yet…you seem excited for it, though!
