Essentially, it’s so you can continue to torrent stuff.

I am definitely enthusiastic about the legalization of marijuana. It would make my weekend recreational activities legal. It should definitely be legal if alcohol is legal.

Lol, fuzzleshnops pretty much covered all practical implications (minus programming) of freeware/open-source. But it also has roots in the realm of intellectual property and intellectual property law. Proponents of open source software (such as sun.java, unix flavors, and developers of any software you download for free) argue that knowledge should be shared and that the quality of projects would be greatly enhanced when the plans are open to reconstruction by the public.

The role of open-source in computer programming is essentially what keeps the sector alive. Hired programmers and consultants can only do so much, and keeping things open-source keeps systems more robust.

Besides, where else will I get my music from?

Pro-choice- We have too many people as is. There’s enough pitiful children waiting and never to be adopted by the too-low number of altruistic people as is. Not every woman needing an abortion is some irresponsible…yeah.

For a bit more gun control- We don’t need guns to fight people with guns. Just limit them. Most serious domestic shootings are from perfectly normal people with too-easy access to guns, not random gangstas.

For welfare benefits- If anyone is seriously lazy enough to squander the public’s money on their entire life, then they deserve the scant assistance and shambly conditions it provides. Plus some people actually need the help. I don’t see where some people get their naive view that in America anyone who’s unfortunately poor must be a lazy loser. :(

For stem cell research- why not? I think I’d rather save productive lives than keep…nonexistent ones.

AGAINST human cloning- why the heck? Almost as if we need ANOTHER way for people to clog up the earth’s resources with their worthless selves? It’s just pointless.

For gay marriage- eh, yeah, I find it pretty gross lol, but it’s their right to be gay if they want to, isn’t it? Why impose your beliefs upon people who have done nothing to hurt you? I don’t think it really makes sense. :/

For more elitism in public education lol- the lack of <---- is partially why we’re so stupid.

Disdainful towards AA- maybe some people do need this, but certainly it shouldn’t be at the expense of others who have done nothing wrong other than to be unfortunately lucky in accidents of birth. And why base need for assistance on race?

Pro-environmental- money can wait. Fattened wallets can wait. If we lose our planet we lose everything else as well.

Pro de facto religious freedom- eh, this happens to be my favorite freedom, and sadly it doesn’t always carry out…

Jealous school counselors should be banned- the reason for my sulky attitude at present.

I’m “pro-choice,” but I understand “pro-lifers” a lot, so I guess that wouldn’t be on here.

Issues where I don’t understand the other point of view:
Marriage equality
DADT
Death penalty

^And what are those positions? (crosses fingers)

Oh, oops.

Marriage equality: pro
DADT (Don’t ask don’t tell): against
Death penalty: agaist

I guess I can actually sort of understand the view pf people who are against the death penalty, but I’m not… tolerant about it. Or something.

^Yay! Same on all three. And I agree, the first two I def don’t understand, but the third I somewhat do, though ultimately no…
