I'm applying to college this fall and some of the colleges have "Priority Application". What does this mean and how is this different from the regular application/early decision application???
thanks!!!!

Priority applications generally mean less work for you - they may or may not require essays. They also mean speedier responses. I don't believe I've ever heard of anyone who was not accepted from a priority application (if anyone knows otherwise, please let me know). Unless otherwise specified, these decisions are nonbinding.

all of my priority applications i received also guaranteed me scholarships

does a college need to offer this to you, or what?

yes, the colleges send these to you, but don't expect them from the top universities, the two that I used as my "safety schools" this past year were from Marquette and the Univeristy of Mn

Tulane is the prime example of a college which uses priority applications. Allegheny also has what they call a "leadership application" - same thing.

My daughter received both of these opportunities, probably because she visited/interviewed at each before her senior year.
