What is a program which I can really SHOW my talents in science?

What is a program which I can really SHOW my talents in science? Becaue I lack a strong EC although I have a large variety, I need to narrow it down.

Any programs or competition worth competing in for science besides the National Science Olympiad?

Intel science Fair for seniors
NYC Science and Engineerting Fair if you live in NY
Amnerican Chemical society Project seed Program if you are minority

What are the benefits of each program? the Intel and the American Chemical society? Do colleges recognize these programs?

Westinghouse is another "big one" in which you can make a name for yourself.

they are very famous and well recongnized

win Intel and youre probably in at anywhere

easier said than done, cmhaer

intel and siemens/westinghouse are the best competitions in the country. siemensactually has a colloboration with collegeboard now so you can register through collegeboard.

intel finalists have gone on to not just get into good schools, but have distinguished careers. A few of them have received Nobel Prizes.

Go to the websites. Intel Science Talent Search and Siemens Westinghouse Competition. Also there is the Intel Science and Engineering Fair(national science fair), but to get there you have to win local, regional, state fairs.

Becoming a finalist in any of these competitions will get you a lot of merit money.

awesome! thanks for your replies!!

So it's Intel VS Siemens

I should probably concentrate on one of them and narrow all my talents into one of them... which one? and why?

You don't really need to concentrate on either of them. Both competitions require the submission of a research project. Once you've written a research paper based on your work, you can submit it to both competitions with minor modificatiosn. The Intel competition also asks a few essay questions - its focus is more on "future scientists" versus the more research-focused Siemens Westinghouse competition.
