What is a URM?

So, specifically, what races are considered as URM's? I know the following races are considered as URM's: African-American and Native Americans, maybe Inuits/Native Hawaiians. What other races are there?

PS: Under what ethnic group would you categorize a Filipino (yes, a Filipino, not a Filipino-American)? I ask this because generally, they're considered Asian (which I would categorize it under) but I've seen them categorized as Pacific Islanders! Are Filipinos fairly represented in colleges, especially the top colleges/universities? I also ask this because I know Asians are well-represented in colleges/universities and thus, am asking if being Filipino won't be anything special. Most Asians who attend top colleges/universities seem to be Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. Sorry if these questions seem pathetic, but I've been wondering for a long, long time. Thanks.

URM's are blacks, hispanics, and native americans.

I don't think it will make a difference if you put asian or pacific islander (and btw, i have no idea which category you fall under) because either way, it probably won't help you.

That's what I figured. Thanks anyway koala717, your input was helpful. :)

I believe that Native Alaskans and Hawaiians are also considered URMs at some univerisities.

It's probably true, but if you're from Alaska you probably have a better shot as it is (at least for schools that consider geography).
