What is additional information for?

<p>Hi Guys,</p>

<p>Just a small question here. I found the plain listing down of ECs a little incomplete. I wanted to elaborate a little more on the community service I do and my extracurricular accomplishments. I understand that Columbia does not appreciate a resume. Is it alright if I have like three paragraphs in a document (each paragraph talking a little about what I do in each of my ECs) and attach it to additional info.? The "talk a little about your ECs" section was only 300 chars which is really little.</p>

<p>Try to avoid doing so. If possible, get one of your rec writers to go in detail about your ECs. Trust me, 300 chars is little for anyone, but you can do it. Everyone who gets into Columbia has pretty stellar ECs in one way or another, and a great majority of them condensed their work into that little box. I was able to.</p>
