I am an Amhrest College applicant, looking to major in Computer Science. What is Amhrest College looking for in it’s applicants? Like other than the obvious traits like good standardized test scores, good essays, and awesome high school transcripts, what specific trait in an Amhrest applicant would sort of “force” the admissions officer to accept that particular applicant?
well… i’d say they’re looking for students who spell Amherst correctly.
admissions officers look to see if you’re capable of succeeding at their institution and being unapologetically yourself. that’s it, really.
There, thanks for letting me know about the error.
amhERst, semere. not amhREst, lol.
If there was a specific trait that would “force” Amherst to accept an applicant people would have figured it out by now. Short of being a star football payer, the child of a wealthy alumni, a famous person etc. you need to present yourself and your accomplishments in the best light possible and hope for a positive outcome.
