Hi,
I am seeking dental graduate (postdoctoral) admission in US colleges. I am from India? I have basic question, what is this official transcripts? Is it all the mark-lists of all years of my degree course + degree certificate? Or any documents from the college I studied for degree course? I should obtain it from the university or from college?

Any reply greatly appreciated..

Thank you for your time.

“I have basic question” Sorry- we at CC just answer acidic questions… :P

Bleh! I see no one bothered replying. So I’ll just be helpful for once and reply.

Official transcripts refer to a detailed mark-list showing all the courses you’ve taken during your degree programme on your college’s letterhead, stamped, signed by the head of your college. It should also include basic information about your school (how it places in the country, ranks in the programme, how their grading system works and what each grade means). So yeah- it is a “mark list” but it is a document that you will need to obtain from your college (refer to that part about the letterhead, stamp and signature). Also, some universities require it to be sealed in an envelope by the college (basically- put the college stamp on the flap and transparent-tape it- so that they know it’s not been tampered with by anyone else. That’s about it. Hope this helps.

Also, these forums here are mainly meant for high-school students applying for college- and most people here are NOT well versed with post-graduate admissions. So yeah…
