What is AP?

AP stands for “Advanced Placement”. It is a program put out by CollegeBoard where you can take classes within your high school, but college-level. At the end of the year, you take an exam, and are scored 1-5 on it. Your score determines college credit. And even if you do not do well on the exams, AP classes are rigorous and better than plain honors classes.

If you cannot take AP classes in your country, I would not worry about it. There are equivalents of that kind of thing, and colleges understand.
