What is Boston College's Reputation?

As for BC’s reputation. I am a Venezuelan student who got accepted into Boston College and I will be honest it is not so well known in Venezuela I only applied here because it is in Boston ( and have many good friends that go to school in Boston.) At first I decided that I would go to University of Michigan or Notre Dame or Emory, where I got accepted but after doing some more thorough research I found out that BC has a really good reputation in the US and outside of it. I have talked to kids and people all over the US and everyone says its really good. Then I visited it and decided to go here. This school is amazing, this is my first semester and I think that it provides the perfect college experience (at least for me). I am international student and it is not so easy making friends with americans but after almost three months living here I love it. All the students are well rounded. Everyone is smart, athletic, and sociable. I have a great group of friends, you meet people every day there is always something to do on campus, there is awlays an event or something interesting going on. You do have to study, but you have time to hang out in the weekends and go party. You do not have to study all day. The majority of my professors are great, and there is one that is just excellent. The campus is one of the most beautiful ones. The school spirit is great and the football games just join the crowds. But if you get bored of all this you have Boston right next to you which is an awesome city filled with students. I sometimes go hang out with my venezuelan and latin friends in the city. Oh but wait if you still get bored of Boston New England is right next to you. In the winter you can go skying, hiking. You can go to New York four hours away. Last weekend I attended a MUN at Upenn and that was 6 hours away from car. Also companies come here to recruit people. Today there is going to be an internship session were many well known companies will be available. So yeah if you want the perfect balance of academics, athletics and social life this is the place. This only the first semester and am already happy. I don’t want to imagine next year when you are so used to everything.
