What is BU best known for?

The title pretty much says it all but I was wondering what major/programs are they the strongest in? What about the weakest? Thanks!

C’mon guys!!!

I just enrolled, but from what I’ve read, I can give you some examples.

The BU School of Communications is generally highly regarded, and BU’s School of Management and Sargent School of Rehabilitation have programs which are ranked top in the nation. The College of Fine Arts is also good/selective. In engineering, BU is ranked in the top 10 in the nation for biomedical engineering, and is overall ranked #38 for graduate engineering (by US News). CGS, while often looked down upon, is a rigorous two year liberal arts program. I don’t know much about CAS, except that it has a highly ranked economics program. The BU Law school and the BU Med school ain’t slouches either.

BU is also known for the location. While it doesn’t have a traditional campus, being in the middle of one of the best college towns in the States is a major plus. As with any large university in the middle of a major city, the school is also diverse, and the location lends itself to many internships. In sports, the team I’ve heard the most about is their D-1 hockey team.

I know you asked about academics, but hey, college isn’t only about academics. I hope I could help.

High Tuition
