<p>Is there a list somewhere in this forum that spells out all of the commonly used abbreviations? If not there should be. Create a glossary and sticky it especially to help the newcomers. Start it with a little bit and be able to add to it as needed. Even a list of the college abbreviations is helpful since everyone is not from the same part of the country and not familar with some of the smaller schools.</p>

<p>Like someone indicated above, CAS stands for Creativity, Action, Service hours that relate to an IB Diploma.</p>

<p>At a big university, if you’re not looking for a specialized program (ie Wharton at UPenn), this is the college within the university that you apply to.</p>
