What is Chicago <the city> known for?

Well, i ran into this link...apparently, Chicago is "robust" with hedge fund activity, and to the OP, maybe you can get an internship at one

Finance jobs, banking jobs, recruitment in investment banking & in the financial markets

Chicago-style hotdogs. Slice of tomato, slice of pickle, chopped onions, and a couple of spicy peppers snuck in there. I like them just as much as New York's sauerkraut and relish.

Whats Atlanta famous for, other than CNN and Coca-Cola??

Atlanta has the world's busiest airport, and is the HDQs of Delta.

It is also one of the most equally divided cities racially (nearly half white, and half black). It's a fairly diverse city in that sense. It has a pretty good hip-hop (which is different than rap) scene. It also has a good music scene in general. If I remember correctly Chris Rock also said it has the best Strip Clubs and the best Churches.

Ok so if confirmed this from a reliable source - Boston IS a bigger, more important financial centre than SF

One of my uncles has been working with JPMorgan for 17 years and probably knows more about finance than anyone on this board (Yes including you aworldapart), and he said that boston is definately bigger in financial services than SF (He actually used the word "much") and is considerd to be one of the financial capitals of the country

Aworldapart - I think YOU need to stop posting watever you feel like on this board without having sufficient information to back your claims

Cute try. Have fun at Mardi Gras and dont get any STDs

Boston is known for something...if you talked to your uncle he would have told what it is.

Clearly, you need to define what you are comparing considering finance covers a broad sector.

Yeah he said it was big in Mutual Funds and other financial services and also venture capital. He named a few banks and stuff but i barely paid attention to all those details. I just wanted to know enough to reply to aworldapart.
