What is considered first generation?

<p>Urr my mom went to a state university in mexico and graduated at age 17 with a bachelors in education. At the time though they had it where you went straight from secondary (middle school) to the university, so she received the degree at such a young age. Nevertheless this high school/ university degree took only 3 years.</p>

and if she did it in less than 4 years does it count?

<p>When you fill out the CA, adcoms will see that she went to a university and earned a Bachelor’s degree. If you want to put her extenuating circumstances in the Additional Information section, you can.</p>

<p>Again, just put down the truth, the adcoms will decide if it qualifies under their definition of first gen.</p>
