what is cornell Econ transfer requirement?

I just start collecting information about cornell transfer....

but I can't find any cornell transfer requirement(Econ major..)

(transfer from California community college..........)

If you're applying to Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences, you'll need the following transferable classes:

Micro Economics
Macro Economics
Calculus I (II&III for Grad study)

That's all you'll need for the intermediate classes. I don't believe that they'll take any classes above that at the community college. If you're still not sure contact the Economics Dept. at Cornell to find out.

are you automatically denied admission if you dont have the calculus requirement done? Because I will not have calculus done at the time of transfer, and many of the UC admissions people i have spoken with tell me that missing one pre req is ok... but whats the case with cornell/ other out of state schools... ( i go to a CCC)

...no, I got into Cornell CAS Economics with College Algebra...they just require that you take it before you enter Cornell, presumably during the Summer I & II semesters :)

thats awsome thanks for the info! may I ask what your gpa/stats were? thanks!

Congratulations Helen - Is that where you're going to school? I'll be applying to cornell economics for this spring.

no, they did not give me any finaid (I am intl. student).

tncpauld, I had 4.0 GPA with 47 credits from comm. college, no SAT scores (they didn't require them for transfer students)... :)

Yeah i have a 3.5 going to have around a 3.6 most likely..60 units.. so cornell will be a reach but im going to try anyways...
