What is dorm life like?

<p>Is there constant partying and drinking in dorms? Or residence halls? I would like to have a peaceful, quiet dorm for studying. I that completely impossible? What should a freshman expect in a dorm? </p>

<p>More specifically, I am looking at WSU(Washington State University), and they have several dorm options, from co-ed, to single-sex, to honors, to 21+, to no alcohol. I am not a partying person, and I know I would like a single-sex residence hall, at least on the floor I am on. I don't mind alternating girl and guy floors. Anyways, I am looking at Stephenson East(No alcohol), Honors(seems like it wouldn't be the party scene), and Wilmer-Davis Hall(All female, about 220). Even if you have no idea about the WSU residence halls, do you have opinions on which type of hall would suit me?</p>

<p>I would think no alcohol would be the most peaceful. I don’t know that co-ed or single-sex would make much difference. Honors would be my second choice. Call the residence life office and ask them their advice.</p>
